READ MORESun ofthe Beast is the Sunny counterpart of Snow Beast.
Nebraska has grueling summers just like its difficult winters, thanks to the Snow Beast! Sun of the Beast (SOTB) was hand crafted to be enjoyed and beat the heat on those Nebraska summer days. Don’t forget this beer on your way to the beach, lake, riverbank, or patio on a balmy summer day to help you unwind! SOTB is a light ale with a slightly sweet vanilla bump! If cream ale and a cream soda hada baby, that is what this beer tastes like.
You maybe asking what a cream ale is. Regardless of the name, this beer does not contain any dairy product. A cream ale falls between an ale and a lager that is an easy-drinking beer. It was named cream ale because of the beer’s smooth taste and depth of flavor. It’s a pale, light bodied ale that usually has an ABV around 5%. There are many people out there that are bewildered by this style, but we just grab a can and float down the river.
The cream ale style was originally created in the 1840s by American brewers. The brewers took the profile of lagers and added more flavor to make it a richer beer style. This style is loosely defined and has numerous interpretations that range from imperial to fruited beers. It is distinctive because it is fermented using American ale yeasts or lager yeasts and fermented at high temperatures. Then the beer undergoes a period of cold-conditioning at colder temperatures after the initial fermentation process is completed. Which is what gives this ale its characteristics and clarity.
Grab afew to crush on the beach or at the lake, but always in the sun!
